LucasArts Does The Sensible Thing By Selling It’s Games

by

It’s about bloody time this happened. I saw this news a little while ago, but of course forgot all about posting it on here. The basic story is that LucasArts, who for years have attempted to make all their old classic games as difficult to buy as possible, have suddenly decided to give making money another chance and dump their back catalogue onto Steam. There aren’t any majorly exciting announcements yet – there’s no Grim Fandango, Monkey Island (although the remake is being released on the 15th) or X-Wing on the list, for example – but it’s certainly a step in the right direction. The full list is:

  • Armed and Dangerous
  • Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis
  • Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade: The Graphic Adventure
  • LEGO Indiana Jones: The Original Adventure
  • LOOM
  • Star Wars Battlefront II
  • Star Wars Republic Commando
  • Star Wars Starfighter
  • The Dig
  • Thrillville: Off the Rails

They’ll be available on Steam from tomorrow, with the promise of ‘more to come’. All this makes me think that these’d be the perfect thing for someone to want to win in our Big Ass Steam Games Competition.
